Do you own your own business?
Posted by: jeanny - 07-11-2016, 03:49 PM - Forum: Business, Finance & Money - Replies (12)

I am looking into my options online. I would like to start up an online jewelry store  but I am honestly not sure where to begin. I would love to hear from people on here who own their own businesses and I hope to gain some understanding from it. If you own your own business, share a bit about it and what you did to get it started!

I would love everyone to share their favorite pictures or general works of art. They can be classics or new ones you have found online. Here are some of my favorites:

  What pets do you have?
Posted by: jeanny - 07-11-2016, 03:45 PM - Forum: Animals - Replies (4)

I love talking about pets and animals in general. I have owned several types of animals over the years. I currently am keeping it simple as I am renting (I don't own a home yet). I have 2 cats, 2 dogs, and 2 birds. They are all males. The cats are siblings and named Twinx and Truffel. My two dogs are names Max and Donald (yes, quite average names! LOL). Then my birds are Shadow and Rodger. What pets do you have?

  Kids and their electronics
Posted by: euko - 07-11-2016, 02:59 PM - Forum: Kids & Teens - Replies (2)

I'm so glad I grew up in a time when kids actually played outside and got exercise. Now all you see is kids sitting either on their phones playing games, or surfing the net on their tablets. What do you think, has technology made it better or worse for the younger generation?

  Is college really worth it?
Posted by: euko - 07-11-2016, 02:56 PM - Forum: Education - Replies (11)

I just don't know anymore. In the states college can run you at a minimum 10k per year. Most people I know don't even have a job that relates to their degree. Not only that, not one entrepreneur I know, and I know a lot of them, even has a college degree. It seems like the whole idea behind a degree is to sit behind some desk for 40 years so you can retire. Just seems like a waste of time to me.

  People buy the craziest stuff

I just watched a cruise ship pull into port today. The dudes will buy anything. Who in the world needs two sombraros, fake mexican blankets, and a bunch of trinkets that are going to fall apart after a week. I just dont get it, the beach is twenty feet away and all they can think to do is but a bunch of junk they dont need

Anyone else a fan of street food?
Posted by: euko - 07-11-2016, 02:49 PM - Forum: Cooking & Foods - Replies (10)

I love it. No matter what country I go to I almost exclusively eat from the street vendors. The food is always cheap and delicious. Honestly, I would way prefer a taco or tamale from a street vendor than to sit in some over priced gringo restaurant. I know people that absolutely refuse to eat from street vendors. They have no idea what they're missing.

  I'm officially addicted to Cochinita
Posted by: euko - 07-11-2016, 02:46 PM - Forum: Cooking & Foods - Replies (1)

It's a dish from the Yucatan Peninsula, and I've been eating it almost every couple of days. Basically they marinate pork in achiote paste, lime juice, orange juice, garlic and salt, then cook it for about six hours. The meat turns out so delicious. Just tuck a little in a tortilla with some chopped onion and you're ready to go.

I can write a lot of content for your website, but I'm clueless when it comes to creating domains. I have 4 domains that I need hosted somewhere, and 4 small websites built.
