Need help to claim the insurance..!!

Hey, I sincerely need some help from people who claimed for insurance after an accident. Last month I got injured in car accident from Mississauga. I had a severe bone fracture on the thighs and spent a lot in the hospital for surgeries and all. Now, I'm getting back to my normal life. I'm planning to approach a car accident lawyer to claim the insurance and to do the paper works. I don't know how it works to get the complete compensation, and I'm entirely unaware of the procedures and timelines of a particular injury case. Can someone help me with this? I don't know how does this claim process work. I want to get an overall idea of how the claim works and all.  If you could share your thoughts here, it would be a great help.
